About Heim PTA

What is the PTA?
The Heim PTA is a volunteer group that works hard to make Heim Elementary the best it can be for students, teachers, and families.
 
This takes a lot of time, money, and dedication. Your membership makes it all happen!

  • Oversee and compile the annual yearbook
  • Award teacher grants to purchase classroom resources
  • Provide volunteer support: lunchroom helpers, and more!
  • Fund educational enrichment: field trips, math subscription, book vending machine, hold book fairs

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

How much is membership?
Your PTA Membership is $10 per person and includes one directory per family. Family memberships are also available. Your membership fee is tax-deductible.
 
When does the PTA meet?
PTA meetings are held every other month during the school year, from 5:30 – 6:30 p.m. in the Heim Cafeteria. Save the dates and join us!
 Sept. 16 – Nov. 18 – Jan. 13 – Mar. 24 – May 19 – Jun. 16

…And the best part: Bring your kids! The Amherst YES (Youth Engaged in Service) Program provides childcare during the meetings.
 
Is there a time commitment?
No! Your commitment is up to you. Come for the meetings and join our separate committees, if you’d like. The amount of time you invest in PTA is entirely up to you.
